Dutch Springs is a 47 acre
freshwater lake that opened its water to divers in 1980. It was
specifically setup by five partners for SCUBA diving and is used as a
training facility for many dive shops along the eastern seaboard. Situated
in the beautiful Lehigh Valley, just outside of of Allentown, Pennsylvania
this dive site is one of the more diverse inland dive spots you can visit.
The underwater environment has diving platforms for training along with
submerged vehicles, aircraft, and many other sights. There is also a
variety fish life including rainbow trout, palomino trout, largemouth bass
and bluegill. The water can be a bit chilly so be prepared with your six
mil wetsuit or a dry suit. Non divers can also have some fun by renting the
non motorized water crafts and swimming in designated areas.
