Kim is a native Arizonian
and started her diving career in 2001. She advanced quickly though the
ranks and has worked hard to achieve many great successes to date. She
completed her SSI open water diver certification early in 2001 and with her
thirst for education and new found passion for diving she continued on to
achieve her Expert diver certification. She is finishing the Dive
Control Specialist program certification and will be life guarding, assisting
in open water certification checkout dives and leading underwater tours for
Scuba Sciences trips. She has already conducted a few Scuba Refresher
courses for divers needing a quick update of skills to get them back in the
water. In addition to her Red Cross CPR, First Aid and Oxygen
provider certifications she will be starting her Scuba Ranger Instructor
Certification course very soon and will work with Jay to manage the new Scuba
Venture Post in The Valley of The Sun.
Jay
Started his diving career in Pennsylvania back in 1995 and was certified as a
PADI open water diver. He spent a number of years going on yearly
dive trips and tried to find an active dive shop to help him keep his passion
for diving alive. After arriving in Phoenix in 1999 he started looking
for the shop he couldn't find in his home town and after a couple years of
searching and a few dive trips later he was introduced to Scuba Sciences
by Kim and their passion for diving rapidly accelerated together.
Jay has also completed the Expert Diver course, the Dive Control Specialist
program and his Red Cross Certifications. Kim and Jay's certifications
mirror one another and they will continue on to achieve their Scuba
Ranger and Adult Instructor Certifications together. Jay's passion for
photography and diving has enabled him to capture some spectacular photographs
of the underwater world and creatures he loves so dearly and even win second
place in the 2001 Scuba Science Photo Contest. He is thrilled by the
requests to purchase some of his work and he will continue to make his future
work available.
Kim and I want to thank you for taking the time to visit us
and we hope that sharing our world of diving adventures proves to be a useful
scuba diving resource filled with information that educates, excites, and
intrigues you about the underwater world that we love so much.
Enjoy and Safe Diving!
Kim and Jay
